DOMINION WATER PARK PICTURES: WAVE POOL Photos Big Wave Bay Wave
Pool At Paramount's Kings Dominion In Virginia
The Big Wave Bay wave pool is found at the far south
end
of the Kings Dominion water park. Like all wave pools it
continuously
provides waves with occasional breaks for regular swimming.
Some
of
the warmest water in the park can be found at the Big Wave Bay
wave
pool. I assume this is because pool water is used to cool the
giant
wave making machines.
Note:
This

from the far wall. The swells diminish in size as they move
across
the pool. Just like at the beach, the waves "break" as they come
upon
the shallow shoreline.
In this photo, half the pool is closed to swimmers. This
is
not uncommon at Big Wave Bay.
There are abundant chairs, lounges and umbrellas
at the wave pool. There is food and drinks for sale nearby.
The Big
Wave
Bay wave pool holds 650,000 gallons of water.
